By using Bubs Weather, you agree to use the app for lawful purposes only. You may not misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the service.

Bubs Weather is provided free of charge. The developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without prior notice.

User-generated content (such as weather reports or support messages) must not contain unlawful, defamatory, or infringing material.

Bubs Weather aggregates data from third-party sources including the National Weather Service (NWS), Open-Meteo, RainViewer, and NOAA. The app does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any weather data.

Weather information provided by this app is for general informational purposes only. It must NOT be relied upon for life-or-death decisions, emergency planning, aviation, marine navigation, or any activity where inaccurate weather data could result in injury, death, or property damage.

Always consult official government weather services (e.g., weather.gov, metoffice.gov.uk) for critical decisions. The developers of Bubs Weather are not liable for any decisions made based on app content.

Severe Weather Alerts: Alerts displayed in the app are fetched from the National Weather Service (NWS) and other third-party alert providers. These alerts may contain errors, delays, or inaccuracies. Never rely solely on this app for emergency notifications. Always have multiple sources for life-safety alerts, including a NOAA weather radio and official government alerting systems.

Weather Source Attribution: The current weather data provider is always attributed at the bottom of the weather dashboard. Bubs Weather is independently developed and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any weather data provider.

Bubs Weather is designed to be as privacy-friendly as possible. We do NOT collect emails, names, phone numbers, IP addresses, or any personally identifying information.

The only usage data visible to the developer is anonymous and aggregate, including: approximate session duration, device type (e.g., phone vs. desktop), operating system (e.g., iOS, Android, Windows), and approximate country. This information cannot be linked back to any individual person.

User-uploaded content — such as community-submitted Weather Reports or News posts — is stored on the app's database and associated with the account that submitted it. This is content you choose to share; it is not collected automatically.

We do NOT share, sell, rent, or trade any data — anonymous or otherwise — with any third party. Ever.

Analytics Opt-Out: You can completely disable in-app usage analytics at any time via Settings → Privacy & Performance → Usage Analytics. When turned off, the app will not send any custom analytics events from your device. The platform hosting the app may still collect basic, anonymous server-level statistics (e.g., that a request was made), but no custom tracking events will be fired by the app itself.

Because we do not collect personal identifiers, we have no way to identify which data belongs to which individual. If you have submitted user-generated content (e.g., a Weather Report or News post) and would like it removed, you can delete it directly within the app.

GDPR (European Union) & UK GDPR: Because Bubs Weather does not collect personal data such as names or emails, there is no personal data stored to export or delete on an individual basis. The only data associated with you is content you voluntarily upload (e.g., Weather Reports, News posts), which you can delete yourself in the app. No data is sold or shared with third parties.

CCPA / CPRA (California, USA): California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected. Bubs Weather does not collect personal information that identifies you. Anonymous, aggregate usage stats (device type, OS, country, session length) are not personal information under CCPA. We do not sell any data.

COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection): Bubs Weather is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect emails or personal identifiers, no children's personal data is collected.

PIPEDA (Canada): No personal information is collected, used, or disclosed. Anonymous aggregate statistics do not constitute personal information under PIPEDA.

Australian Privacy Act 1988: Because no personal information is collected, there is no personal information held by the app to access or correct.

LGPD (Brazil): No personal data is collected or processed that could identify an individual. Anonymous usage statistics fall outside the scope of LGPD.

APPI (Japan): No personal information is handled that could identify an individual user.

PDPA (Singapore): No personal data is collected. Anonymous aggregate usage data does not constitute personal data under the PDPA.

Note on data deletion requests: Because we cannot identify individual users, there is no personal data tied to your identity to delete. User-uploaded content (Weather Reports, News) can be removed by the user directly in the app.

Some features in Bubs Weather use artificial intelligence to generate text, summaries, or recommendations. These include 'Bub's Wise Words', the AI Weather Chat, the AI Weather Summary, and AI-generated news insights.

All AI-generated content is clearly labeled with an 'AI' badge or marker so you can distinguish it from official weather data. AI content is generated by large language models and may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or outdated information.

AI-generated content should NEVER be used for life-safety decisions. Always cross-reference AI suggestions with official weather sources. The developers are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

When you interact with AI features, relevant weather data (such as temperature, condition, and location) may be sent to the AI model for processing. This data is sent anonymously — no email, name, or personal identifier is attached.

Bubs Weather offers two location modes, explained transparently in Settings:

Precise Location ('Use My Location'): Uses your device's GPS to obtain exact coordinates. This provides the most accurate, hyper-local weather data. Your exact coordinates are sent to the selected weather data provider (e.g., Open-Meteo, NWS) to fetch weather. Coordinates are never stored by Bubs Weather.

Proximate Location ('Manual City'): You enter a city name manually. Only a city-level location is used — no GPS is accessed, and no exact coordinates are shared. This is more private but may be slightly less precise for hyper-local conditions.

Recommendation: If privacy is a top concern, use Manual City mode. If accuracy is more important, use My Location. You can switch at any time in Settings.

The Weather Radar feature embeds maps from third-party providers including RainViewer, OpenWeatherMap, NOAA NEXRAD, Iowa State Mesonet, Blitzortung, and the NWS radar viewer.

All third-party radar embeds are sandboxed using HTML iframe sandbox attributes, which restrict the embedded content's ability to access your device, run unwanted scripts, or navigate your browser. The sandbox only permits scripts, same-origin access, and popups necessary for the radar to function.

When the radar is enabled, your approximate location coordinates are sent to the selected radar provider to display the map. This data is not stored by Bubs Weather. You can disable the radar entirely in Settings → Privacy & Performance.

Custom radar embeds (user-provided URLs) are also sandboxed. Bubs Weather is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of user-embedded third-party URLs.

Bubs Weather is a general-audience weather application. It is not designed for, or marketed toward, children under 13 (or 16 in EU/UK jurisdictions).

The app does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Since we do not collect emails or personal identifiers, there is no personal data from children to be concerned about. Any user-uploaded content (e.g., a Weather Report) can be deleted directly by the user in the app.

The weather-themed mini-games included in the app are simple arcade-style games with no in-app purchases, no social features, and no data collection targeting children.

Bubs Weather is committed to digital accessibility and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines to the extent reasonably possible.

Features include large text mode, high-contrast display, reduced-motion support, screen-reader-friendly markup, and keyboard-navigable elements.

The app also aims to align with EN 301 549 (European accessibility standard) for public-sector-adjacent digital services. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact support.

Bubs Weather, its branding, logos, and original code are the intellectual property of HunterSussy. Weather data is sourced from public APIs under their respective terms of use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations; in those cases, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by local law.
